The late player was part of the Oluyole Warriors which finished 14th at the just concluded 2015/2016 season of the Nigerian Professional Football League which Enugu Rangers emerged champions. A tweet by the Ibadan based club reads: “A Shooting STAR is gone! Izu Joseph is gone! Flamboyant defender is gone! RIP, brother. What a life! May God strengthen his family #Tragedy.” It was alleged that defender was hit by a bullet as officers of the Joint Task Force (JTF) engaged militants of the restive Niger Delta in a long-drawn face-off on Sunday, October 16. Izu Joseph joined Shooting Stars in 2014 from Bayelsa United when the Ibadan club were still in the second-tier Nigeria National League.

UNILAG(University of lagos) rusticates 198 students and expels 125 students below is the news Authorities of the school also rusticated 198 students over various offences including examination malpractice, academic and social misconduct. A list of the over 300 affected students was published on the school’s website on Sunday afternoon. UNILAG’s Deputy Registrar in charge of information, Toyin Adebule, says beyond the list posted on the institution’s website, the names and photographs of the affected students will soon be published in the media and pasted in different areas of the school. He added that UNILAG’s action aligns with its commitment to rid the school of all forms malpractices and vices.
